It's a...BOY!

Well, it's the post everyone has been waiting for! Cole and I went to the doctor on Wednesday for our fetal assessment ultrasound. Everything with baby looks perfectly healthy, which we were very excited to hear. I was 19 weeks and 4 days, and baby measured at 20 weeks and 1 day, and weighed 13 oz! And then we found out that we are having a sweet baby boy! I think we were both a little surprised since everyone we know is having a girl, but we are very excited!!! Plus, I get to have a momma's boy :)

After our appointment, we went to lunch and then got right down to business...shopping! Cole took me to the local jewelry store and bought me a new charm for my Pandora bracelet. (His idea, by the way!) I picked a silver ball with tiny blue crystals dotting in throughout to honor our new baby boy. Cole called it my "happy we just found out what we're having present."  I can live with that!
Then we went to Macy's, Gymboree, and Spoil Me Rotten. We bought some very sweet blue daygowns, one with white smocking across the front, a Christmas outfit for next year, and a brown and white smocked one piece. They are all very cute!

Cole took me home after that so I could rest, I've been sick all week. He went back to work for a little bit while waiting for our parents to arrive. They came over that night and we all went to dinner to celebrate. Mom and Dad brought us a blue blanket too.  Of course, Mom had a blue and pink one on stand by.
So now our next order of business is to pick a name! We know that his first name is William, and we will call him Will. William is Cole's grandfather's name. Now we have to pick a middle name. I really like Edward (my dad's name) and Lawrence (my dad's dad's name) but those aren't Cole's favorite. So the other option is Darby, my maiden name. I like that as a way to honor my dad and his dad. And of course, Cole still likes Cole. Imagine that! Regardless of what the name is, we have to pick one. If you know me at all, you know that I love all things monogrammed and I can't get anything monogrammed without a middle name!
