This past weekend was absolutely crazy, but ironically very fun! My college friend, Cathy, got married!!! The festivities started Friday with the Bridal Luncheon and then the rehearsal dinner. Everything was absolutely beautiful, and we ate under a white tent at the church. Then things started going downhill from there.
We woke up at 3am that night (morning?) to the tornado sirens, not a very pleasant way to wake up! Things were a little tense for awhile as we tried to make sense of this crazy weather. The sirens finally went off around 5 and we were able to fall back asleep, for a little while. Around 6 or so they started up again, by that time we just got up. Cole looked outside and yelled. It had rained so much that our backyard was completely flooded. Even Mac's doghouse was floating and he was standing in water up to his chest. Poor guy, we had no idea it was that bad out! Thankfully, Cole braved the weather and rescued him. While the backyard continued to flood, so did the streets in our neighborhood. A section of our fence fell, and when all was said and done, we realized we had lost quite a bit of sod and had some holes in the ground. We did not get any water in the house though, so thankful for that!
Later that morning our friends Emily and Don called. There had been a huge sinkhole right by their house and they had to evacuate! So they loaded up and came to our house so Emily and I could get ready for the wedding.
Cathy was such a trooper that day! Everyone showed up, dry, and we had a fabulous time. The tent was an obvious washout, and the reception was moved into the gym. But no worries, Cathy and Ryan still got the reception together, everyone had a blast, and the blow up boxing ring was still able to make an appearance! Needless to say, I was tired for two days after that!

The crib and furniture still isn't here yet, but it should be here by the end of this month. Yay! And I'm still trying to make it to Memphis to buy the fabric so the bedding can be made. Hopefully I can get that done next weekend. We do have a jogging stroller though! It came a few days ago, an early shower gift from Cole's parents, and Cole put it together. I really like it and can't wait to use it with Mr. Will!
