Easter weekend started off for me on Good Friday. I finally had a Friday off of work and could get back to the weekly Friday lunches with Jenny, Emily and now Miss Ellie! We had a great lunch outside with beautiful weather and then went back to Emily's house to meet Kim and Wes with their sweet bundle of joy, Mr. Elam. I hadn't seen him since the hospital. He is so sweet! Now all we need is Mr. Will to get here so they can all hang out together. I told Ellie she had to learn how to boss Will around. Then I went to treat myself to a much needed pedicure before heading home. Cole and I went to a really great dinner that night and rented a movie. I really needed a night at home since I had a crazy week at work, but alas, I was called in to work for a little bit. Oh the life of a surgical nurse!!! Saturday Cole and I grilled out with my cousin, Emily, and her hubby, Joseph. It's so nice to have half a cow in your own freezer! As it turns out, there are many perks to your in-laws owning a slaughter house! The guys grilled steak, chicken, and shrimp...it was delicious! Cole and I went to our church Easter morning and then headed out to his parents house for the Easter activities. My parents drove up to join us. It was a really nice day, and I am so thankful for warm weather..finally! We sat outside all afternoon. Cole and I came home and took the dogs for a walk. They were so happy to get out and about. We tried to let Mac swim in the pond, but there were too many people fishing in it. We didn't want to disrupt them.

Sandra (Cole's mom) and I went to Memphis today for a little maternity/baby shopping. I finally feel like I'm going to get things accomplished now. I was able to get some maternity clothes that fit and look nice. So far, I've just been wearing my regular clothes and my 1 pair of maternity jeans, but it's getting too hot for those jeans! I was also able to find some cute dresses to wear to showers and such. Then we headed to Panera Bread to eat lunch. I should not have discovered that place! Sandra left with a bag of bagel and muffins. I restrained myself...for this week anyway! Then we headed out to find some nursery fabric. We went to Calico Corners, and I found a fabric I love! My sister had picked out a really cute polka dot pattern a few weeks ago when we went shopping, but there was just something about it I didn't like but I couldn't figure out what it was. Well, I found the same dot pattern but in different colors. I was so excited! Now I can really get moving on the nursery! Little Will will be here before we know it. Cole and I ended the night with a nice walk and now I am pooped!

nursery fabric, I still have to find a coordinating blue
Love the polka dots and the colors. Can't wait to see it all done.
